XPEDITE LAUNCHES NEW TOOL ENABLING CUSTOMERS TO BROADCAST MULTIMEDIA MESSAGES FROM OUTLOOK®
intelliSEND Service Provider Offers Transparent Integration with Microsoft® Outlook® to Create and Deliver Large Volumes of E-mail, Fax and Voice Messages
Tinton Falls, N.J. (May 28, 2002) — Xpedite, a global leader in multimedia messaging and a business unit of Ptek Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTEK; www.ptek.com), today announced that it has launched the intelliSENDSM Service Provider, a new tool that enables Microsoft® Outlook® users to have seamless access to all of Xpedite’s value-added messaging solutions, including its global fax, messageREACHSM e-mail and voiceREACHSM voice broadcast platforms.
"The intelliSEND Service Provider offers a transparent interaction between Outlook and all of Xpedite’s value-added messaging services," said Joseph Merces, Vice President of Product Management for Xpedite. "It enables our customers to use a familiar and popular desktop user interface for all of their high-volume messaging needs, simplifying the message creation and distribution process."
The intelliSEND Service Provider adds Xpedite-specific forms to the default Mail Client menus, as well as Xpedite-specific configuration options, eliminating the need for multiple web interfaces or third party software applications for specific messaging requirements. The service facilitates broadcast as well as point-to-point messaging and enables customers to use Microsoft Outlook to send messageREACH emails to any number of individuals without disclosing the names or addresses of other recipients of the message. Fax messages can be created within the mail client and voiceREACH messages can be recorded and transmitted or saved as WAV files. The Service Provider enables all of these services to be performed on-the-fly right from the sender’s Microsoft Outlook desktop mail client.
Customers can download the Service Provider software directly from Xpedite’s Websites (www.xpedite.com or www.messagereach.com). The service supports several mail clients, including Microsoft Exchange and all versions of Microsoft Outlook.
