XPEDITE ADDS NEW CALL MANAGEMENT FEATURES TO ITS VOICEREACH SERVICE
New Voice Broadcast Service Provides Tracking, Reporting and Call Routing of Voice Messages

TINTON FALLS, N.J. (April 23, 2002) — Xpedite (www.xpedite.com), a global leader in multimedia messaging and a business unit of Ptek Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: PTEK; www.ptek.com), today announced the latest version of its automated voice broadcast service, voiceREACHSM, that simultaneously delivers large volumes of prerecorded voice messages to any size list of phone numbers, voice mail boxes and other answering devices. The latest version, which operates on a platform modeled after Xpedite’s global broadcast delivery network for electronic messages, offers many enhancements for quick and targeted communication of relevant information.

voiceREACH’s new features include:

  • "Hot Key Transfer", which enables recipients of a voice message to press "0" at anytime during a broadcast to be transferred to an operator for one-to-one communication;
  • For industries such as financial services and securities that need to comply with regulatory issues, voiceREACH can automatically route a message to a compliance officer for review prior to broadcast;
  • Improved call routing capabilities that enable messages to reach more extensions;
  • Improved tracking and reporting, including information such as whether a call was answered live or by an answering mechanism and at what point a call was terminated; and
  • Instructions for opting out of a call recipient list

"Xpedite’s voiceREACH service adds another dimension to our suite of innovative multimedia messaging services, which include e-mail, fax, voice and wireless," said Joe Merces, Vice President of Product Management for Xpedite. "We have received a tremendous response to this service from the association, political and financial industries, which need to communicate regularly with their large, target audiences without losing the personalized touch that a voice message can provide. Our latest version will enable our customers to be even more successful in their large-scale communications efforts."

Users can access the voiceREACH service via touch-tone phone, a Web interface or file transfer protocol (FTP), and can record messages over a touch-tone phone or by using a PC microphone to create a .WAV file. Customized scripts are available for seamless integration of messages. An audit trail of all calls is provided upon completion of a broadcast, and is available for monitoring online, even while calls are still in progress.
